Wrinkle reduction, scar reduction, and Skin Needling
Needling is a well known procedure used to help the human body soften and fill wrinkles. Dermatologists and Plastic Surgeons, along with Permanent Cosmetic Professionals, are using the procedure worldwide.
Skin Needling treatments can also break up old collagen in scar tissue and cause the natural process within the skin to create a build-up of new collagen and elastin in the treated are just below the surface of the skin. Results of the procedure are not instantaneous. The build-up of collagen, below the surface of the skin, will continue for months and the skin will become increasingly smother. After six to nine months you will have achieved maximum results.
The procedure is less invasive that laser resurfacing because lasers destroy the entire top layer of the skin. With Skin Needling, however, only wrinkles and scars are treated and the healthy skin remains untouched. This new collagen fills in the deeper areas of wrinkles as it smoothes and tightens the surface of the skin. The skin also will not become de-pigmented or light sensitive as with laser resurfacing. Needling helps to stimulated the body’s natural process of skin rejuvenation resulting in smoother, younger looking skin.
